NORTH HAVEN, Conn. (WFSB) – A North Haven man was arrested after police said he pointed a BB gun at juveniles riding e-bikes on Monday.
Officers were called to the area of Spring Road after a report of a man making threats and pointing a firearm toward juveniles riding e-bikes in the area, according to the police department.
When crews arrived, they found the individual and safely disarmed him without incident.
Officials have now identified the suspect as 60-year-old Gaylen Thibodeau of North Haven.
Thibodeau was placed under arrest.
Police said the reported weapon was determined to be a BB gun loaded with .177 caliber BBs.
No injuries were reported in this incident.
Thibodeau is now facing the following charges:
Reckless endangermentBreach of peaceIllegal use of a facsimile firearmThreatening
He was held on a $20,000 bond and is expected to appear in court at a later date that was not revealed.
