I have a Jaguar 1970 E type straight six. I had a shop do a bunch of work on it to get it ready for summer driving. I spent 15 grand on the items in these pictures. After driving it 10 miles home from the shop and then one other drive a week later 2 miles. The third time I started it after picking it up from the shop the engine caught fire. The shop is saying that it had nothing to do with what they worked on. I’m hoping smarter people than me can help me figure out what to do here. They are willing to fix it if they find out that it was their fault. But I doubt they will take fault to voluntarily. They have insurance, but don’t want to do an insurance claim. Any insight? Any advice?
