Toyota announces the 2026 RAV4 for Europe with pricing starting at €45,200. Features hybrid and plug-in hybrid options, up to 304 hp and 100 km electric range.

Toyota has announced pricing for the new 2026 RAV4, which will hit the European market in May with a base price starting at €45,200. The model retains its hybrid and plug-in hybrid architecture, delivering up to 304 horsepower and up to 100 kilometers of electric-only range. At around 4.6 meters in length, the RAV4 remains firmly in the key family SUV segment.

Updates and Price Increases

The new RAV4 features a redesigned exterior and updated interior while keeping its dimensions unchanged. The lineup includes four versions: base, Icon, Premium, and GR Sport. Even the base model comes with 18-inch wheels, LED lighting, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.9-inch touchscreen, and the Toyota Safety Sense suite.

The base hybrid with a 2.5-liter engine produces 183 horsepower (or 191 horsepower with all-wheel drive), accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.7 to 8.1 seconds. The plug-in hybrid version delivers 304 horsepower, features a 22.68 kWh battery, and offers up to 100 kilometers of electric range. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and has a top speed of 180 km/h.

Market and Competition

The RAV4 will compete with the Volkswagen Tiguan, Hyundai Tucson, and Kia Sportage, but stands out with its robust hybrid lineup. Prices can reach up to €62,700 for top-tier versions, placing the model closer to more premium segments.

Overall, the 2026 Toyota RAV4 illustrates how mainstream crossovers are transitioning into more expensive and technologically advanced territory. While the price increase is offset by enhanced power and electrification, the model’s affordability is gradually diminishing.
