YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A 13-year-old was seriously injured Saturday evening after he was struck by a Tesla sedan in Manchester Township.

According to Northern York County Regional Police Department, the boy rode his bicycle into the intersection of Persimmon Drive and Murifield Drive without stopping around 5:20 p.m.

The Tesla struck the boy, throwing him off of his bicycle, police said. He “suffered serious injuries” and was transported to York Hospital by ambulance.

The driver of the Tesla, a 16-year-old, was not injured in the crash and stayed on scene to cooperate with investigators, according to police.
