Hello fellow EV Enthusiasts. I used a lot of my free time in March, including a couple full days, to manually create this spreadsheet for over 80 EVs available in the US. I was trying to compare actual prices (includes destination) of EVs along with range, speed, and a bunch of other things.
My main takeaway from making it was similar to going into it. There just aren't many good overall EV options available without some achilles heel. GM and Hyundai group seem to have the most options from legacy auto makers (GM disables CarPlay to push subscriptions, Hyundai group seems to have poor company culture with the years long ICCU issue). Toyota and Subaru surprised for me with what should be 4 related EVs each by the end of this year and seem just fine. Lucid has some of the longest ranges available. BMW is coming out with their two EVs with great ranges. Charging speeds from most companies seem to be targeting around 30 minutes 10-80 percent, under 20 is excellent and somewhat rare.
There is also a ton of information and it's very tedious to get it. And I don't know how to use AI, so I just put what I could pretty readily find in the time I gave myself. There is a lot missing, Audi, for example, had one of the worst websites with the least amount of information. Porsche, on the other hand, even though they are owned by the same company, had pretty good information (and a lot of other companies did as well.
Anyway, if you have something I should add preferably with a link or the information to put, I can update it. I plan to keep this available on Google Sheets indefinitely, and it should be available to just download if desired.
