Roughly two years after putting it on sale overseas, Kia is adding the EV3 to its North American lineup. Despite its small size, the subcompact electric SUV sports a respectable range and offers a generous amount of tech for the class.
The Kia EV3 is finally joining Kia’s lineup as a 2027 model.

Kia
The subcompact electric SUV has been on sale overseas since 2024, but it just made its North American debut.

Kia
The U.S. version will be sold with five trim levels: Light, Wind, Land, GT-Line, and GT; it’ll offer an exclusive Nightfall appearance package too.

Kia
The EV3 will offer two battery sizes, with the entry model making do with a 58-kWh pack and the upper trims housing a larger 81-kWh unit.

Kia
The smaller battery is good for 220 miles of range, and the bigger pack can send the EV3 up to 320 miles. A NACS charging port is also standard.

Kia
Kia hasn’t supplied a range figure for the AWD versions of the EV3, though the additional motor is sure to cut into the front-drive model’s 320-mile estimate.

Kia
The AWD Wind, Land, and GT-Line produce 261 horsepower, with the GT model gaining an additional 27 ponies.

Kia
Unfortunately, Kia hasn’t revealed the power figures for the single-motor front-drive variants yet.

Kia
We don’t have official pricing yet, but we expect the EV3 to start around $35,000 when it goes on sale later this year.
