Presented under the theme “Smart All the Way,” Leapmotors says the B03X introduces a ‘new era of affordable, intelligent electric vehicles, blending long-range capability, premium technology and global standards into an SUV designed for mainstream markets’.
As a Premium Smart Long-Range SUV in China, it brings together technologies including LiDAR-enabled, Parking Spot‑to‑Parking ADAS, dual Qualcomm flagship chips (8295 and 8650), an ultra‑long 505 km CLTC range (China Light‑Duty Vehicle Test Cycle), a high-performance oil‑cooled electric drive, and an ‘exceptional 88.1% space utilization rate’.
Leveraging full-stack in-house R&D, Leapmotor claims it continues to push high-level ADAS technologies – including LiDAR (China market) and Qualcomm’s 8650 ADAS processor – into the budget EV segment. With the B03X, Parking Spot‑to‑Parking Navigation becomes available in vehicles positioned at a competitive price, making ‘sophisticated autonomous parking and low-speed navigation systems widely accessible for the first time’.
Leapmotor also introduced its new World Model ADAS architecture, capable – it says – of delivering globally optimised intelligent-driving performance without requiring extreme computing resources.
Leapmotor committed to rolling out these high-level ADAS capabilities to all existing LiDAR-equipped vehicles, providing free OTA upgrades whenever hardware permits – a key expression of the brand’s philosophy, “Technology for All, Premium for Less.”
Designed as the first model of the new A-Series for global markets, the B03X breaks from traditional export models by being engineered from the outset to meet international standards. The vehicle is built for global deployment – in design, quality, safety, and performance – and is set to launch in nearly 40 countries and regions. Leapmotor says it positions the B03X as a new benchmark across five dimensions: styling, space, intelligence, driving performance and safety.
Stylistically, the B03X adopts Leapmotor’s Tech‑Nature Aesthetics 2.0, combining purity, modernity, and emotional resonance in its design.
The cabin continues the premium approach, incorporating a large 1.55 m² panoramic sky roof with 99.9% UV filtering, high-quality soft-touch materials covering 2.63 m² of interior surfaces, and seat fabrics certified to OEKO‑TEX Class 1 standard—safe even for babies. An industry-first floating IP Bar enables customisable accessories such as ambient lighting, diffusers, and display add-ons.

The B03X space utilization is among its core strengths. Through CTC 2.0 Plus battery-chassis integration and an optimized front compartment, Leapmotor achieved an 88.1% space efficiency rating, providing interior room comparable to larger segments. The flexible seating system allows configurations suited to daily commuting, camping, leisure, or cargo transport, with modes such as Large Bed Mode and Relax Recline Mode.
The interior includes 34 storage compartments and a dual-layer organisational layout, while the rear boot offers a 106-liter washable underfloor compartment ideal for separating wet and dry items, Leapmotor says. Overall cargo capacity ranges from 602 liters to 1549 liters with rear seats folded.
In terms of intelligence, the B03X, in the Chinese version, is equipped with 27 high-precision sensors, including LiDAR, enabling the full-scenario Parking Spot-to-Parking ADAS.
The in-car entertainment system includes a 12‑speaker 7.1 surround-sound setup, karaoke functionality without an external microphone, advanced noise-reduction technology, and compatibility with Carlink 2.0 and HUAWEI HiCar 4.0.
The B03X features a 53 kWh battery offering up to 505 km of CLTC range, allowing for both daily commuting and long-distance travel. Its oil-cooled 7‑in‑1 electric drive system ensures efficient thermal management for sustained high-speed performance, supporting top speeds of 160 km/h and stable cruising at 150 km/h.
Charging is described as ‘highly efficient’, with 2.5C fast-charging capability enabling a 30% to 80% charge in just 16 minutes, adding 250 km of driving range. Energy consumption is only 10.7 kWh per 100 km, placing the B03X among the most efficient vehicles in its category, the company claims.
Leapmotor says its self-developed LMC Integrated Motion Control System enhances vehicle stability in extreme conditions such as tyre blowouts, icy roads, deep water, or emergency manoeuvres. The B03X also offers a market-leading turning radius of 5.1 meters for easy manoeuvring in narrow urban environments, the company claims.
Leapmotor says the B03X meets global safety regulations across nearly 40 countries. The high-strength cage body incorporates ‘aerospace-grade’ steel capable of withstanding more than three times the vehicle’s weight, while 18 active safety features—including advanced emergency braking and emergency steering—ensure all-round protection. The company also says the CTC 2.0 Plus battery is engineered to prevent fires or explosions for 48 hours after thermal events, exceeding national standards. Sentry mode and a built-in driving recorder provide constant 24/7 monitoring.
Overall, the B03X is set to become a key product for Leapmotor’s ambitious 2026 roadmap with goals of reaching one million annual sales.
