According to a search warrant obtained by an Albemarle County detective, the murder quadruple amputee and cornhole champion Dayton Webber is accused of committing last weekend may have been captured on camera by his very own Tesla vehicle.

“It’s possible,” Michael Corbett, a local resident and the owner of three Teslas, told The Daily Progress. “These cars are rolling computers.”

Appearing by video Thursday in Albemarle General District Court, Webber agreed to be extradited to Maryland. Had he contested the transfer, court officials suggested it would have posed logistical challenges.

“He is a quadruple amputee, and it is very difficult to have him transported,” wrote Crystal Rigsby, the court’s supervising deputy clerk. “The sheriff’s office would need EMS to pick him up and bring him.”

One attachment to the search warrant offers a final detail about the dispute that preceded the shooting.

It was, Johnson wrote, “over drugs, guns and a woman.”
