New Daily – 2023 Kia Rio LX+ MT

After searching for over two months I finally found my new daily driver as my old car got totalled in a not at fault accident.

This was the LAST subcompact on the Canadian market you could get a manual in, AND this was the final year it was produced! (Manufactured Nov 2023, delivered Dec 2023, and they were all special orders by mid-May 2023.)

Note: The LX+ is a Canada specific trim, and we lost the sedan version years ago. Also #KIABOYZ was never a thing here… Immobilizers were mandated by the Feds in Canada for all vehicles manufactured after September 1, 2007.

I’d estimate that conservatively there were at most under 100 optioned like this that were sold in the final year.

This was a lease buy back. In IMMACULATE condition, with under 40,000KM (25,000 miles). A Kia CPO with warranty until Dec 2029 or 120,000KM.

This model came with a bulletproof 1.6L MPI engine producing 120HP mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.
