An electric vehicle (EV) caught fire in the parking lot of the Valencia Audi Dealership Wednesday evening.
Just after 6:20 p.m. Wednesday, first responders received reports of a car fire in the parking lot of the Valencia Audi Dealership in the 23900 block of Creekside Road, according to officials with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
When units arrived on scene they reported the batteries of an EV were smoking, according to initial reports.
As a precaution, the Hart Baseball Complex was evacuated as crews worked to contain the fire, according to officials.
The fire was declared out at 8:24 p.m., according to LACoFD officials.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
