WETHERSFIELD — A Wethersfield man was arrested after police said he brandished a firearm at two people operating e-bikes in the Department of Motor Vehicles parking lot Wednesday. 

The man, identified as 46-year-old Dominic Meucci, was intoxicated while carrying the firearm, the Wethersfield Police Department said in a news release. 

Officers were called to the DMV on State Street around 6:30 p.m. for the report of a threatening incident involving the display of a firearm. Police found that Meucci had been operating a Subaru when he yelled at two people operating e-bikes in the parking lot, according to police. Police noted that one of the victims was a juvenile. 

Meucci is charged with carrying a firearm while intoxicated; carrying a dangerous weapon; use of a firearm during the commission of a class A, B or C felony; two counts of illegal possession of a large-capacity magazine; two counts of risk of injury to a minor; two counts of first-degree threatening; two counts of second-degree breach of peace and one count of illegal operation of a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/drugs. 

Meucci is free on a $250,000 bond and is to appear at state Superior Court in New Britain April 16, police said.
