WETHERSFIELD, CT (WFSB) – A man faces charges for threating two e-bike riders with a gun in Wethersfield, police said.

Wethersfield police identified the suspect as 46-year-old Dominic Meucci of Wethersfield.

Police said they responded to the Department of Motor Vehicles parking lot on State Street Wednesday around 6:30 p.m.

Someone reported that there was a threatening incident that involved the displaying of a firearm.

Police said their investigation revealed that Meucci was behind the wheel of a Subaru and yelled at the two e-bike riders, one of whom was a juvenile.

They said a gun was flashed by Meucci.

Police also said the suspect was drunk at the time.

Meucci was charged with carrying a firearm while intoxicated, carrying a dangerous weapon, use of a firearm during the commission of a felony, illegal possession of a large capacity magazine, risk of injury to a minor, first-degree threatening, second-degree breach of peace, and illegal operation of a motor vehicle under the influence.

Police said he was able to post his $250,000 bond.

He was given a court date of April 16 in New Britain.
