I know this is rare, but is it desirable?

This was posted on my local junkyard, 1962 Corvair Station Wagon, I tried googling and it seems its quite rare, but I don't know if its desirable at all. Anyway, such a shame seeing something as rare going to metal scrap (they pay at most 100-150 USD for a complete car such as this, and that is if you tow it to their facility)
