The family of a 14-year-old boy who died in a crash involving an electric motorbike and a car in Derbyshire have urged people not to attend his funeral on electric motorbikes.
Derbyshire Police said Finley Dawson was riding with a 15-year-old pillion passenger at about 20:30 GMT on 5 March when it collided with a Kia Sportage in Newbold Road, Chesterfield.
He suffered serious injuries and died the following day.
A joint statement from the family of Finley and the 15-year-old boy – who suffered serious injuries in the crash – said: “There is a reason these bikes are banned from the road, and devastatingly Finley has paid the ultimate price in losing his life.”
