Did you ever think, “I’d definitely buy a LiveWire One if it cost around $17,000.”? No, me neither, but if anyone in Europe did, well, it’s your lucky day. We’ve seen the price of LiveWire motorcycles drop over the years because sales had been so poor, and although numbers have picked up, it looks like LiveWire thinks the One wouldn’t compete with Honda’s new WN7 without another price drop.
If you’re unfamiliar with the WN7, worry not, because it’s an all-new offering from the Japanese OEM.
The bike debuted at EICMA in 2025 and is Honda’s first full-size electric motorcycle. The brand’s first serious foray into the electric motorcycle niche has already upset relatively established players, like LiveWire. With 67 hp, 73 lb-ft of torque, and a claimed 80-87 miles of range on offer, the WN7 wouldn’t trouble the LiveWire One if it weren’t so competitively priced.
When Harley launched the LiveWire in 2019, it cost upwards of €30,000 in the EU. Then, after a rebrand, the bike came down to around €25,000, but the NW7 is on sale for around €15,400. Although the LiveWire One has an extra 33 hp and 10 lb-ft of torque, and 59 miles of range, I still can’t see many people spending an extra €10,000 to get it over the Honda. Apparently, neither could LiveWire, so it dropped the price of the One to €14,890.
It turns out all LiveWire needed to more fairly price the One was some stiff competition. Now, Europeans have an electric motorcycle producing 100 hp with an estimated range of up to 112 miles for less than €15,000. I’m not sure if that’s enough to pull a lot more riders toward the category, but it should surely be enough to entice more than a few prospective WN7 riders to opt for the One. The move has created a strange pricing problem for LiveWire, though.
The €14,890 One is now extremely closely priced to the LiveWire S2, which starts at around €12,390. Even stranger still, the S2 has specs more on par with the NW7. LiveWire chose to drastically cut the MSRP of the One instead of battling Honda with the S2.
But if you’re a LiveWire customer in Europe now, would you ever buy the S2, when the One isn’t that much more expensive and offers a fair bit more motorcycle for the money?
We want your opinion!
