Lake Oswego police logs: A beaver in the roadway and concerns about e-bikes among entries

3/6 10:15 a.m. A caller worried that someone had logged onto their WiFi because they received a notification saying someone had logged on.

3/6 10:20 a.m. A caller inquired about crime statistics in the area.

3/7 10:24 a.m. A caller complained about three children who were blocking traffic while riding e-bikes and “doing wheelies” on Overlook Drive.

3/7 4:36 p.m. A caller reported seeing someone chug vodka and then drive at Goodwill. Police found that the person was a passenger in the vehicle, not the driver.

3/7 5:03 p.m. A caller said they had told a nearby vehicle to stop approaching their car aggressively and then was flipped off on Boones Ferry Road.

⅜ 9:16 a.m. A caller worried about the Chinese government cloning them and didn’t want that to happen.

3/9 11:36 a.m. Someone reported that their husband and dog had been attacked by a German Shepherd the previous week.

3/10 1:29 p.m. Two library patrons were reportedly in a verbal disagreement and one was asked to leave but didn’t.

3/9 6:26 p.m. A caller complained that someone was playing the flute offensively near Peet’s Coffee.

3/10 8:26 a.m. A caller reported a downed power line blocking the roadway at the intersection of Knauss Road and SW Thoma Road.

3/10 7:57 p.m. A caller said a man she didn’t know was in her apartment.

3/11 9:39 a.m. A caller requested extra patrol on Bergis Road, reporting chronic traffic problems — particularly speeding teenagers going to Lakeridge High School.

3/11 2:29 p.m. A caller said someone was wandering the area carrying a charcoal grill around. Police said the person brought the BBQ over to a neighbor’s house for dinner.

3/11 5:14 p.m. Zupan’s reported that a man had been calling the store at least 50 times recently.

3/12 6:08 a.m. A couple was reportedly physically fighting in the street.

3/12 5:19 p.m. The traffic lights were reportedly completely out at the intersection of North State Street and B Avenue.

3/12 6:44 p.m. A caller said someone was drinking alcohol next to a Chevron pump station.

3/13 1:47 p.m. A beaver was reportedly removed from the roadway at the intersection of Pacific Highway and Oak Street.

FRAUD

3/7 11:32 a.m. A person reported that there were two wire transfers attempted from their account. Police advised the person about how to prevent identity theft.

3/10 1:04 p.m. Fraud was reported.

3/10 1:09 p.m. A caller said they received a letter saying someone had opened a Merrill Lynch account in their name.

3/10 1:51 p.m. A caller said someone had stolen their work check from the mail and cashed it.

THEFT

3/7 8:23 A.M. A package was reportedly stolen off of a porch. There was video but the suspect may have been wearing a mask.

3/11 6:29 p.m. Someone reported that their trash can had been stolen. The trash can was later found.

3/11 7:08 p.m. A caller reported that a tree fell and was completely blocking northbound lanes on Highway 43.

3/12 1:47 p.m. A package was reportedly stolen off of someone’s front porch.
