Hello!

About 20 years ago I took a 10 hour ride to a junkyard in Tennessee with my grandfather to pick up a 51 ford coupe for a few hundred bucks. As you can see from the pictures a lot of love and care was put into restoring it.

Unfortunately my grandfather developed Parkinson’s in 2012 and could no longer drive. At that point my grandparents asked if I wanted the car. My grandparents were not in the greatest spot financially so I told them to sell it and enjoy their retirement.

Here I am 14 years later and starting to do okay financially. My goal is to eventually find the car and buy it back.

Sadly my grandfather has since passed away and my grandmother is nearly 90 and isn’t all there anymore. I’ve gone through everything and I can’t even find the vin#

I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on how to find it? The only information I have is that it was sold around 2013 at mecum or Barrett Jackson to a car collector in Florida.

P.S can anyone give me any information about the motor? I know he got it directly from ford racing.

Thank you for any input!
