Lori DeBoer covers startups for BizWest. She is a former editor for Boulder Magazine and a former contributing editor for America West Airlines Magazine, and her work has appeared in The New York Times, The Des Moines Register, Arizona Highways, Black Enterprise, Arizona Business Magazine and Working Woman. She has taught journalism at Arizona State University and CU Denver and works as a developmental editor and writing coach. She also paints horse and pet portraits.
