LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A local hospital says they treated dozens of patients for e-bike and scooter-related injuries last year as officials say they continue to see a rise in related injuries.

Officials with UMC say staff treated 212 patients for e-bike and scooter-related injuries in 2025. Of those patients, 160 were adults and 52 were children ages 17 and under.

Helmet use was documented in a limited number of cases, officials add. Records show 40 adults and 13 children were noted as wearing helmets at the time of injury.
