2026 BYD Song Ultra EV Revealed With 710 km Range and 5 Minute Charging
BYD has officially opened presales for the new 2026 Song Ultra EV, a midsize electric crossover that offers up to 710 kilometers of driving range and incredibly fast charging that can reach 70 percent in just 5 minutes. With a starting price of only 155000 yuan, this electric sport utility vehicle could become one of the most competitive electric crossovers in China.
The new BYD Song Ultra EV rides on the advanced e Platform 3.0 Evo architecture with an 800 volt electrical system designed for high efficiency and ultra fast charging. Power comes from a rear mounted electric motor producing 270 kilowatts, which equals 362 horsepower. The vehicle also features the latest generation Blade Battery technology and offers two battery options delivering up to 620 kilometers or 710 kilometers of driving range.
Inside, the crossover focuses heavily on technology and comfort. Drivers get a large 15.6 inch rotating infotainment display, a 10.25 inch digital instrument cluster, wireless smartphone charging pads, a panoramic sunroof, and a unique Big Bed Mode that allows the front seats to recline flat with the rear seats.
Advanced driver assistance is available through the optional DiPilot 300 system, which includes a LiDAR sensor and computing power of 254 trillion operations per second. The system is designed to enhance safety and intelligent driving capabilities.
