Officers say that an offending vehicle was seized in the Main Street area of the town in the evening of Wednesday, March 11.
It was added that the rider of the bike will now be reported for “several road traffic offences”.
A Police Scotland spokesperson added: “The public should be aware that riding these mechanically propelled vehicles on public roads without the necessary licence and insurance leaves you open to road traffic offences.
“We have also had several reports regarding electric and petrol motorcycles being ridden in circumstances where damage has been caused to grass areas.
“Parents should also be aware that, aside from offences being committed, there is a huge safety risk to their children on bikes like this.
“We will continue to robustly police this issue as reports come in to us.”
