I came across a build where someone replaced the original Lamborghini engine with a built Toyota 2JZ making roughly ~1000HP.
It’s definitely one of the more unusual combinations I've seen.
On one hand: • The 2JZ is famous for reliability and huge tuning potential.
On the other: • Lamborghini engines are a big part of the car’s identity.
So it raises an interesting question.
If performance is the goal, does a swap like this make sense?
Or does putting a Japanese inline-six into an Italian supercar completely ruin the character of the car?
Not posting the video directly here because of the subreddit rules, but I can share it in the comments if anyone is curious.
What’s your take on swaps like this?
