This US YouTuber just struck gold after buying a Tesla Model S P90D for just $10,300.
That’s roughly 92 percent off the original price tag for this EV.
Naturally, the bargain price came with a few mechanical headaches.
But, amazingly, he fixed everything by spending the equivalent of a meal for two.

This is how he managed to fix his Tesla for around $80
YouTuber Samcrac managed to buy Tesla Model S P90 D for $10,300.
For reference, this exact car had cost the original owner $140,000.
There were several things wrong with the car, but the main problem was the front motor, which Tesla’s system wasn’t able to detect.
He took the car to the nearest Tesla dealership, and they said he’d need to fork out $5,500 to replace the motor.
Interestingly, Samcrac got in touch with another YouTuber, Out of Spec, who just had to deal with the exact same issue in the past.
As it turned out, the whole thing could be resolved with a sensor that he sourced for $70, coupled with a 3D-printed inverter cover.
Net result: he got himself a $140,000 car for about 10 grand.

This Model S P90D isn’t the first car this YouTuber fixed
Samcrac is clearly very good at fixing cheap and dilapidated cars for peanuts, as this Tesla Model S P90D wasn’t the first car he fixed.
A while back, he bought a dead Porsche Cayenne for just $700, and he fixed it by simply spending small change on new wires.
On another occasion, he did the same thing with an Audi RS7, which was actually worth a lot more than he’d anticipated due to a couple of secret mods that came with the car.
In fact, the only time it didn’t go his way was when he found a dead McLaren and he couldn’t buy one.
Maybe that’s going to be his next project.
