The driver of a Tesla SUV was hospitalized Wednesday night after being ejected in a crash on the Garden State Parkway in Monmouth County, according to New Jersey State Police.
Troopers were called about 9:30 p.m. to a report of a crash in the northbound express lanes at milepost 108.9 in Tinton Falls.
A preliminary investigation showed the Tesla was headed north when the driver lost control, ran off the roadway to the left, struck a guardrail and overturned.

The driver was ejected, sustaining minor injuries, and was taken to a local hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
