The agreement brings together two companies with complementary strengths. MINIEYE has built a track record in advanced driver assistance systems and autonomous logistics deployments, while CATL Intelligent focuses on integrated smart chassis technologies and next-generation vehicle architectures. By combining intelligent driving software with electrified chassis and battery platforms, the partners aim to tightly integrate what industry insiders often describe as the vehicle’s “brain” and “body,” accelerating the evolution of software-defined electric vehicles.
According to the companies, the cooperation will span joint development of intelligent chassis systems, enabling closer coordination between underlying vehicle architectures and upper-level driving applications. They also plan to explore battery swapping and mobile charging solutions in search of new business models that can ease range anxiety and improve energy replenishment efficiency. Additional efforts will focus on scenario-driven innovation tailored to real-world market needs, as well as coordinated overseas expansion by leveraging global supply chain resources and brand influence.
Intelligent driving technologies are rapidly penetrating passenger cars, commercial fleets and closed-loop operational scenarios across China. As competition intensifies, large-scale production experience, robust ecosystems and reliable product performance have become decisive differentiators. Against this backdrop, the partnership is positioned to deliver safer and more scalable solutions, offering a potential template for standardized and globalized growth in the smart mobility sector.
MINIEYE says its solutions have already reached mass production across multiple Level 2 and Level 4 applications, supplying 42 automakers as of June 30, 2025. Its Level 4 Bamboo Robovan operates on several logistics routes in central Shenzhen, serving urban commercial districts and supporting diversified use cases for clients in sectors such as city services and cold-chain distribution. The company has also secured orders from overseas customers and is preparing deliveries to the Middle East, signaling growing international recognition.
