LiveWire, the division of the legendary Harley-Davidson focused on electric motorcycle development, has announced the release of a new intriguing model — the S4 Honcho. This compact electric motorcycle is strikingly different from anything the brand has produced before. The Honcho comes in two versions: street (Street) and off-road (Trail), with production set to begin in spring 2026.

The main technical feature of the S4 is two removable batteries hidden under the flip-up seat. They can be easily removed and charged at home or in the office, just like batteries from power tools. According to preliminary data, the motorcycle can accelerate to a speed of 85 km/h and travel up to 160 kilometers on a single charge. The power will be limited to 10–15 kilowatts, which corresponds to the Japanese and European licensing categories.

But it’s not just about the specifications. Instead of a race for horsepower and torque, LiveWire offers a lifestyle. This is not just a motorcycle, but the quintessence of American aesthetics taken to the absolute — right down to the cowboy hat cursor in the promotional materials. This approach aims to attract young people who are looking for not just transportation, but a tool for adventure and self-expression.

The segment of lightweight and affordable electric motorcycles is currently showing steady growth, while sales of heavy and expensive electric bikes are stagnating. Previous LiveWire models, such as the One and S2 Del Mar, received excellent reviews from critics but failed to become mainstream due to high prices and a lack of an extensive service network. The Honcho is designed to rectify this situation by offering a reasonable price (which, however, is still kept secret) and practicality for everyday use.
