I’m a bit of a skeptic when it comes to “concept-to-road” transitions. Usually, they take away the cool stuff and replace it with plastic. But these patents show the eFX 30 keeping its sporty soul. It borrows heavily from its sibling, the Apache RTR310, a beloved little firecracker overseas. There’s a cast alloy swingarm, upside-down front forks (fully adjustable, thank you very much), and radial calipers on the disc brakes. It’s a high-end espresso machine – small, but it definitely kicks.

Instead of a greasy chain, we get a belt drive. Clean, quiet, and it won’t ruin your favorite pair of trousers. The battery pack is tucked away but partially visible, which tells my inner geek that it’s an air-cooled unit. No massive radiator cluttering up the lines. Under that battery hides an electric motor paired with a single-speed transmission. No gears to faff about with – twist the grip and off you go.
