North Fort Myers man accused of attempting to steal electric bikes from occupied camper

A North Fort Myers man is accused of attempting to steal electric bicycles from an occupied camper, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office said.According to an arrest report, deputies were sent out to the camper after reports that a man wearing a dark hoodie was trying to steal a bicycle. When they arrived, the man ran away while holding a long red object, later identified as a pair of bolt cutters, the report adds.Deputies said that after a brief chase, they detained and arrested the suspect, later identified as William Marion Jensen, 38.The report says that the owner of the bicycles told deputies that they called 911 after they heard unusual noises outside and reportedly saw Jensen kneeling near them.
