Charging your #Peugeot408 at home should feel effortless – and with this #PeugeotTutorial, it is.
Start by placing the selector in P and ensuring the engine is off. Connect the charge cable to your household socket; once the control box lights up and settles on a steady green Power light, press the flap to open the charger port and check it’s clear. Insert the charging pistol, and the flashing green lights inside the flap and on the control box confirm that charging has begun. A steady red light, however, signals a fault and the process should be restarted.
While charging, your digital cluster briefly displays battery level, range, estimated time and, on electric versions, charging speed. Deferred charging can be scheduled directly on the touchscreen via the Energy app, then activated by locking the car and pressing the button within one minute — the blue light in the flap confirms it. You can also set this using the #MyPeugeot app.
When charging is complete, the green indicators stop flashing. To unplug, unlock the vehicle (or lock then unlock once). Never use extension cords, power strips or damaged sockets.
