The Thruway Authority is creating an expansive network of electric vehicle charging stations, which is key to increasing the use of zero-emission electric vehicles. Because of the Thruway’s ongoing commitment to vehicle electrification, there are over 100 EV charging stations currently in operation at Thruway commuter lots, service areas, and welcome centers.
As part of the Service Area Redesign and Redevelopment Project, Applegreen Electric has installed four to twelve high-speed EV chargers at every service area.
