KYLE SCANLON: We are charged up and ready to jump into the driver’s seat of this All New 2026 Porsche Macan GTS Electric. Now in its second generation, the Macan series has been putting smiles on the faces of its drivers since 2014. Having only a few facelifts in a decade, the big shift came in 2024 when the EV model was launched. This year the EV lineup expands from 4 to 5 model variants, with this GTS nuzzling itself in between the 4S and the Turbo.

The GTS offers a lower ride height, limited slip rear differential, sport tuned air suspension, and up to 563hp of overboost power with maximum torque peaking at 704lb-ft. All this adds up to the most agility through the corners than any other Macan model. Which I can personally attest to.

Now I got to jump into the Macan 4S for a little bit before jumping into this GTS, and when I tell you that they are two completely different vehicles, I really do mean it because this things feels like you’re almost getting to a GT3 after coming out of the Macan 4S with how tight it is, the dampers, the suspension, the traction. And it is just smacked on the pavement. You’re not going anywhere, you’re not wiggling, you’re not worried about oversteer or understeer. This thing is planted and very intuitive. It almost knows where you want to go before you’re gonna go.

And the rear-wheel steering is a nice little added bonus to get you around these corners and make you feel safe and secure while you’re doing so.

For those bold enough, this new Macan GTS Electric also offers a track mode that cools the battery for extended performance. On the outside you will see updates like black trim, a lower rear fascia, wider rocker panels, and contrasting elements like inlays, the lip of the adaptive rear spoiler, wheel arch extensions, and side blades. All of this makes the GTS stand out from the other Macan models.

Tech gets an upgrade as well, with an AI assisted voice pilot, the Porsche digital key, and new park assist functions.
