Blind spots are a natural part of driving, but they don’t need to be a source of uncertainty. #Peugeot’s Active Blind Spot Monitoring system is designed to give you greater confidence behind the wheel by helping you detect vehicles you may not immediately see, making every lane change safer, smoother, and more controlled.
To support your awareness on busy roads, the system uses sensors to monitor adjacent lanes up to approximately 75 meters behind you. When a vehicle is detected in your blind spot or rapidly approaching from behind, an indicator light appears in the corresponding door mirror. A fixed light warns you when being overtaken, while a flashing light alerts you if you signal to change lanes while a vehicle is present, helping prevent risky manoeuvres and avoid potential collisions.
This video also explains when the system is active, how its settings are stored when the ignition is switched off, and in which scenarios alerts are intentionally suppressed, such as sharp bends, stationary objects, oncoming traffic, or very heavy traffic.
