FairCharge – the consumer charging campaign founded by the late motoring journalist and electric vehicle (EV) advocate Quentin Willson – will be headed up by Warren Ryan Philips.
FairCharge was founded on a simple principle: public charging must be reliable, fairly priced, and built around motorists, not confusion.
Quentin Willson launched the campaign to stand up for drivers and demand a charging network that people can trust. That consumer mission remains at the heart of FairCharge today.
Warren (pictured), who is also Chair and Co-Founder of EVA England and Founder of LucidDestiny Consulting, said:
“Quentin was one of the strongest voices we had for everyday drivers in the electric transition. FairCharge exists because charging must work in the real world, on real streets, for real people. It’s an honour to take stewardship of FairCharge to make sure motorists get the fair, safe, reliable, transparent charging network they deserve.”
Warren is a nationally recognised EV leader, named in the #GF100 Most Influential EV Advocates, with a clear focus on what matters most: making the switch to electric work for ordinary drivers.
Ben Kilbey, Founder of Bold Voodoo, stated:
“FairCharge could not be in better hands. Warren is a proper people’s champion, with the credibility of a co-founder of EVA England and the instinct to speak for drivers, not boardrooms. Quentin founded FairCharge to fight for motorists, and Warren is exactly the person to carry that mission forward with clarity, fairness, and real consumer focus.”
Tanya Sinclair, CEO EVUK, commented:
“FairCharge is a powerful voice for EV drivers, carrying forward Quentin Willson’s long standing commitment to securing a better, fairer deal for motorists making the switch to electric.
“As the charging network expands and adoption continues to grow, I am delighted that Warren will lead FairCharge’s vital work. Drivers are already investing in the future of transport, and they deserve charging that is dependable, clearly priced, and transparently delivered. FairCharge will play an essential role in ensuring the transition works not just in principle, but in practice, for everyday EV drivers across the UK.”
FairCharge and EVA England will continue to campaign for a public charging system that delivers confidence, value, and trust for every motorist as the UK moves toward an electric future.
Vicky Edmonds, CEO, EVA England, said:
“Quentin and Faircharge brought driver’s needs to the fore of the electric transition. We are delighted that Warren can carry on that mission, and bring together that powerful campaign voice with EVA England’s work, to influence decision making at the heart of Government and ensure that EVs work for everyone – no matter their personal circumstances.”
