Geely is in advanced talks with Ford to use one of Ford’s under-utilized factories in Europe to build its EVs locally, allowing the Chinese automaker to sidestep hefty EU import tariffs on China-built electric cars and helping Ford fill idle capacity amid its EV strategy overhaul. The move could reshape how Chinese brands access the European market while boosting cooperation between East and West in auto manufacturing.
