OBERWANGEN, Switzerland (BRAIN) — Stromer says it will deliver repair kits this month for the suspension forks that the Swiss e-bike brand recalled in December. The forks were made by U.S.-based Wren Sports.
In December the company — which pulled out of the U.S. and Canadian markets in 2024 — announced that it was recalling about 6,500 of its e-bikes globally because the original equipment WREN forks’ steerer tubes could break. The company received 15 reports of the forks cracking, resulting in eight reported user injuries. It advised owners to stop riding the bikes until the forks could be repaired.
The company now says a first delivery of repair kits and replacement parts is being shipped to Stromer dealers by the end of February and the company’s objective is to deliver kits for all affected bikes by the end of May.
While the recall action is not being published by the U.S. CPSC, Stromer said it “remains in close contact with the responsible authorities in all affected markets and continues to inform customers and retail partners regularly about the progress of the recall.”
Affected riders will be contacted by their Stromer dealers as soon as the free repair measure for their bikes becomes available.

Wren is working with Stromer to provide the replacement kit for rework, owner Kevin Wren told BRAIN.
The suspect forks were included with some Stromer ST3, ST5 and ST7 model e-bikes.
The forks being recalled have specific serial numbers, which are shown on a sticker inside the fork stanchions, shown in the photo below.
All Stromer ST7 models with Wren suspension forks with the serial number: 403860-XXXXXXX-XXXX are included by the recall.
Some Stromer ST5 models are included:
All ST5 models with Wren suspension forks with the serial number: 403523-XXXXXXX-XXXX are included in the recall.
ST5 models with Wren forks with the serial number: 402446-XXXXXXX-XXXX are not included by the recall; e-bikes with forks with the serial number: 402447-XXXXXXX-XXXX are not included in the recall.
Some Stromer ST3 models are included.
All ST3 models with Wren suspension forks with the serial number: 403523-XXXXXXX-XXXX are included.
