A hubless motorcycle promises a range of 600 km thanks to a solid-state battery. The proposal comes from Verge Motorcycles, a company founded in 2018 and based in Tallinn, which developed the TS Pro with a motor integrated into the rear wheel and a new 33,3 kWh battery, extending range and performance.

The origins of Verge Motorcycles and the concept of TS Pro.

Verge Motorcycles was founded in 2018 by Henri Vahakainu and Juha Pekka Rintamaki. The company operates in the electric vehicle segment, focusing on differentiated engineering solutions and functional design applied to two-wheeled mobility.

The TS Pro is a hubless electric motorcycle, whose rear wheel directly incorporates the motor. The absence of the hub eliminates traditional transmission components, reducing mechanical losses and allowing torque to be applied directly to the wheel assembly.

This hubless motorcycle promises a range of 600 km thanks to a solid-state battery.

The new TS Pro configuration includes a 33,3 kWh battery. According to the manufacturer, this capacity allows for a range of almost 600 km. The previous version used a 20,2 kWh battery, with a maximum range of 350 km.

The goal of increasing energy capacity is to enable long-distance travel. The strategy also seeks to reduce the need for frequent stops for recharging during extended journeys.

Fast charging and range recovery

In addition to the increased battery capacity, Verge Motorcycles has incorporated charging with a power of up to 200 kW. With this system, it is possible to recover approximately 300 km of range in less than ten minutes, according to data provided by the company.

The combination of higher energy capacity and high charging power positions the TS Pro at a distinct technical level within the high-performance electric motorcycle segment.

Solid-state battery characteristics

The TS Pro uses a solid-state battery, also described as a semiconductor battery. Unlike conventional lithium-ion batteries, which employ liquid or gel electrolytes, this type of battery uses solid materials, such as ceramics or specialized polymers.

Among the characteristics associated with this technology are higher energy density, greater resistance to repeated charging cycles, and high levels of operational safety, according to the technical description provided.

Performance, price and delivery schedule

In terms of performance, the TS Pro delivers 137 horsepower and 1.000 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3,5 seconds. The announced starting price is US$29.900, approximately €26.000.

The first deliveries of the motorcycle are scheduled for the first quarter of 2026, according to the timeline released by Verge Motorcycles.
