Tesla Supercharging network expansion hit a new all-time record in net Supercharger deployments during the fourth quarter of 2025. The whole year also ended with noticeable growth, although it did not surpass the record set in 2023.
8,182 Stations and 77,682 Stalls
According to Tesla’s Q4 2025 financial report, the company closed the last quarter with 8,182 DC fast-charging stations (17.3% more than a year ago) and 77,682 connectors (18.6% more than a year ago) installed globally. The average number of stalls per station amounted to 9.5, compared to 9.4 in 2024.

Tesla celebrated the deployment of its 75,000th stall on November 19, 2025. It took Tesla less than five months to increase the number of stalls by 5,000 (from 70,000 as of June 27) and roughly 13 months to add 15,000 (from 60,000 as of October 17, 2024). More than half of all Supercharging stalls (over 39,000) are located in North America.

Stations
The net growth of stations in Q4 2025 (based on the comparison with Q3 2025) amounted to 429 (up 59.5% year-over-year) and was higher than in any previous quarter.

The recent record suggests that Tesla’s expansion is accelerating. However, the net increase over the entirety of 2025, at 1,207 (up 18% year-over-year), was slightly lower than in 2023 (1,274). It’s clear that the slower first quarter impacted the overall results.
Stalls
The net increase in Supercharging connectors reached 3,865 (up 26% year-over-year), which is a new record (slightly higher than 3,840 in Q4 2020 and 3,787 in Q4 2023).
Tesla’s initial report revealed that roughly 3,800 new stalls were opened during the quarter. The difference indicates that a double-digit number of Supercharging stalls were removed from service. These might be older stalls or ones without contracts with the property owner.

In 2025, the net increase of stalls amounted to 12,187 (up 15% year-over-year). This result is near record, as in 2023 the company expanded the network by 12,473 stalls.
Stalls vs. Stations
In Q4 2025, the average number of new stalls per station decreased again, reaching 9.0 (down 21% year-over-year), which is the lowest level since Q2 2024.
The average ratio for full-year 2025 is 10.1, which is essentially on par with 2024.

Throughput
As we reported a few weeks ago, the network’s throughput in Q4 2025 was estimated at 1.8 TWh of energy (up 27% year-over-year) — see the initial report. The number of charging sessions increased by 29% year-over-year, to 52 million.
The Tesla Supercharging network’s global average throughput, assuming 75,000 stalls (just an estimate, as the number changed during the period), was as follows:
Average session: 34.6 kWh
Average daily throughput per stall: 261 kWh
Average daily number of sessions per stall: 7.5
