VinFast is rapidly expanding in India, crossing 1,000 vehicle sales in just four months
After the Limo Green launch in February and the upcoming VF3, reports suggest the company may soon bring the VinFast VF5 to the Indian market.
The VF5 is a compact electric hatchback, positioned between the Tata Tiago EV and Punch EV in size. It comes with two battery pack options — 29.6 kWh and 37 kWh — delivering a claimed range of up to 326 km.
Key Features:
169 mm ground clearance
260-litre boot space
8-inch touchscreen infotainment system
Leatherette seats
Keyless entry
If launched, the expected price is around ₹12 lakh, making it a strong rival to Tata’s affordable EV lineup.
VinFast’s strategy appears focused on launching feature-rich EVs at aggressive prices to capture India’s mass market. The VF5 is still at the consideration stage, but given the brand’s speed, an official announcement may not be far away.
