Kia has confirmed the pricing of its next EV in the Australian market, with the EV4 sedan being offered in three variants and at prices ranging from around $50,000 to $65,000.
Locally, the new Kia EV4 will be offered with two battery packs. The first is a 58.3 kWh battery pack for the standard range model, while the long-range models get a larger 81.4 kWh pack.
This lineup locally is priced at:
Standard Range Air – $49,990 before on-road costs
Long Range Earth – $59,190 before on-road costs
Long Range GT-Line – $64,690 before on-road costs
The Standard Range Air model comes with 456 km of WLTP range, while the Long Range Earth and GT-Line models pack up to 612 km.
According to Kia, the Long Range variants will be Kia’s longest-range EV to date in Australia, outdoing the EV3 Long Range Air, which tops out at 604 km on the WLTP cycle.
On top of that, Kia has spent quite a bit of time undertaking local ride and handling tuning, which means that it’s suited for Australia’s unique road conditions.
All three variants on the EV include a front-wheel-drive (FWD) powertrain. Speaking of the powertrain, it’s been hinted to have a 150 kW front-mounted motor and given its specifications in the overseas markets, it’s likely to have a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just over 7 seconds.
From a dimensions point of view, the sedan is 4.73 metres long and just under 1.5 metres high. Running clearance from the regulatory approval documentation from 2025 suggests that it sits at 140 mm, which is the same as the EV3 small SUV.
The latest EV is expected to arrive at Kia’s dealers across the country later this month. Full specifications will be available shortly.
Given Kia’s great year for EV sales in 2025, with over 8,100 sales that helped it claim the third-best-selling EV brand in the country, it’s good to see more models making it to the lineup, helping it be one of the leading EV manufacturers again in 2026.
