According to VinFast, the 45,000 planned swap cabinets will be deployed across 34 provinces and cities, with an estimated density about 1.5 times higher than the current number of fuel stations.

The system allows riders to replace batteries in just a few minutes instead of waiting for charging, making electric motorbikes nearly as convenient as traditional gas-powered models.

The battery-swapping infrastructure is developed by V-Green, VinFast’s energy subsidiary, and is being installed in residential areas, shopping centers and along major transport corridors.

On the same day, VinFast also introduced three battery-swappable electric motorbike models, including Evo, Feliz II and Viper, alongside the Amio model, which features a compact design, does not require a driver’s license, and targets students and short-distance urban commuters.

All models use 1.5-kWh LFP batteries and are equipped with two battery slots under the seat.

With two fully charged batteries, the Evo can travel about 165 km, while the Viper and Feliz II offer a range of around 156 km under standard conditions.

Customers can opt to rent batteries instead of purchasing them outright, at a monthly fee of VND175,000 (US$7) for one battery or VND300,000 ($12) for two.

Each battery swap costs VND9,000 ($0.3).

Batteries can also be charged at home or at public charging stations.

VinFast began accepting early deposits for the Evo model from January 15 to 29, with a listed price of VND19.99 million ($760) excluding the battery.

Early buyers receive a VND1-million ($38) discount per vehicle, with deliveries expected in February.

In addition, all VinFast electric motorbikes are currently offered with a direct six-percent price reduction and registration fee support during the early months of 2026.

By combining new product launches with a large-scale battery-swapping network, VinFast is accelerating its ambition to popularize electric motorbikes across Vietnam.
