VanMoof has furthered its pursuit of getting customers to try out and buy into the next generation product, for 2026 launching a new trade in offer on old S3 and X3 models.
With the new VanMoof S5, A5 and S6 e-bikes now on the market, owners of the prior generation product are invited to trade in their old S3 or X3 bikes for a €500 discount on the new models.
Now available via VanMoof.com, or via participating retail partners, the voucher scheme works simply by taking your old e-bike into a partner location, who will then order the new bike and process the trade-in. If you’re curious, the list of partner stores are now found here.
This is a time-limited deal, so if you’re in a position to make the trade in you’ll have until March 31st to complete the transaction. The bike must be complete, but not necessarily working, so if you’re one of those long-term customers with a broken bike, now is the chance to flip it.
To participate, you must be a registered owner of the e-bike and be able to transfer ownership via the partner app. Trade-eligible e-bikes will have all parts and the battery included. A charger and the toolbox that comes with the bike are optional but recommended. Naturally, bikes registered as stolen will be picked up upon by the retailer…
If you’re unsure about making the jump, Cycling Electric took the next-generation VanMoof S5 for review in 2025 and found an e-bike that suits the tech-savvy urban rider and those who have concerns over bike theft. Integrated into the bike are features like an alarm, GPS and a unique locking system that jams up the bike’s drive system when you are away from the bike.
