With a total distance covered of 721 km, Stage 8 of the 2026 Dakar Rally as no small journey. Ford Racing and the Ford Raptor T1+ teams continue their push through the world’s toughest race, with Mattias Ekström finishing P3 – a challenging task opening the stage after winning yesterday’s stage.
Ahead of the second marathon stage of the rally, Ekström is in P2 overall, Nani Roma P4, Carlos Sainz P5 and Mitch Guthrie P7.
