Canyon, a German e-bike manufacturer, has officially launched two e-bikes, the Spectral:ON and the Torque:ON, in Europe. The former is a trail e-bike, which is designed for steep climbs, precise cornering, and fast after-work rides. While the latter is a high-performance e-mountain bike, according to Canyon, it is built for big jumps and party laps.

Despite their different use cases, both e-bikes use the same Shimano EP801 motor and a new 800 Wh battery with an aluminum housing from Darfon. These e-bikes are said to offer 600 W of power, 85 Nm of torque, and up to 85 km (52.8 miles) of range on a single charge. On top of that, they support climbs up to 1,900 meters.

Unlike Canyon’s previous generation battery pack, the latest cell technology-equipped battery delivers more power with higher efficiency, said Canyon in its press release. With a mullet setup for agile handling, the Spectral:ON offers 155 mm of travel in the triple-phase suspension and 160 mm at the suspension fork. On the other hand, the Torque:ON offers slightly better travel than the Spectral:ON, 175 mm of real travel and 180 mm of front travel.

The new Spectral:ON CFR and the Torque:ON CF 9 models start at €5,999 and €4,999. Both e-bikes are now available for purchase via Canyon’s official website. Furthermore, the company will also launch the following models later this month, including the Spectral:ON CF 7, CF 8, CF 9, the Torque:ON CF 7, and CF 8.
