The Omoda 7 arrives in Italian dealerships as the Shs-p version, which stands for Super Hybrid System Plug-in Hybrid. The Chinese extended range SUV is powered by the 1.5 Tgdii Miller cycle petrol engine with 143 bhp and two electric motors – one 204 bhp traction and one 82 bhp dedicated to recharging the 18.4 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery. The system develops a total of 279 horsepower, claims 128 kilometres in fully electric mode with Wltp homologation and guarantees an overall range of more than 1,200 kilometres thanks to a homologated consumption of 2.3 l/100 km.

The interior of the Omoda 7 Shs-p features a 15.6-inch sliding central screen from which the Snapdragon 8155 processor-based infotainment system can be operated. Four-zone voice recognition allows all occupants to interact naturally with the vehicle. Driver assistance is complete, with 19 Adas systems including Adaptive Cruise Control, Emergency Lane Keeping and Traffic Assist. The 540° panoramic camera with ‘see-through’ under-body viewing function offers a comprehensive perception of the surroundings.

But how much does the Chinese Omoda 7 Shs-p SUV cost? It starts at around 39,000 euros (38,900 to be precise) for the Pure trim. The standard equipment includes 19″ alloy wheels, roof rails, full LED headlights front and rear, 15″6 central display, 8″9 digital instrument cluster, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wireless, sound-insulating and privacy glazing, dual-zone automatic climate control, fabric and faux leather upholstery, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, 50-watt wireless smartphone charging and 7 airbags, Adas package with Adaptive Cruise Control, active lane keeping, automatic emergency braking and blind spot monitoring.
Omoda 7 Shs-p Premium
The Premium version offered at around €42,000 (€41,900 list price) adds 20-inch alloy wheels, a 15-inch sliding central display, a head-up display, a panoramic roof, a faux leather interior, extended multicolour ambient lighting, electric, ventilated and heated front seats with driver-side memory function, a Sony premium audio system, an electric tailgate and a 540° panoramic camera with a ‘virtual transparency’ view under the bodywork. the Premium trim can be enhanced with the Premium Pro Pack (optional at €1,500), which includes automatic and remote parking assistance, a massage function for the front seats and extendable leg supports for the front passenger. On the colour front, standard is the Khaki White hue or alternatively various colours for €700 or Matte Matte Soft Grey paint on Premium for €1,200.
All versions of the Omoda 7 Shs-p are covered by a 7-year or 150,000 km warranty and an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty on the electric drive system components.
