A person riding an electric bicycle was transported to the hospital Friday afternoon following a collision with a vehicle near Main Street and South 11th Street in Philomath.
Philomath Fire and Rescue responded to the incident at 4:22 p.m. Jan. 2. According to the fire department, the crash occurred when a vehicle turning into a driveway struck the e-bike on a sidewalk.
The vehicle sustained minor damage to its right side and right front, officials said.
The Corvallis Fire Department transported the e-bike rider to the hospital. The extent of injuries were not reported.
Benton County Sheriff’s Office deputies were at the scene to investigate. No additional details about the circumstances or contributing factors were immediately available.
