Jason Newbold, a Cybertruck owner from Indiana, says he almost traded in his Cybertruck for a Tesla Model Y.

While at the Tesla store, he was offered a great deal on a Model Y lease that would cut his monthly car payment by $1,000.

Tesla also offered him $66,000 for his current Cybertruck.

This was tempting; however, Jason says he had to go back to his Cybertruck to charge his phone and rethink his decision.

Ten seconds after getting into his Cybertruck, he decided it would be silly to get rid of it.

Jason mentions that after the Cybertruck, he never wants to drive any other vehicle, even if it’s a Tesla.

The happy Cybertruck owner shared his story on the Cybertruck Owners Only group on Facebook.

He writes…

“I almost left my Cybertruck at Tesla tonight to take advantage of a new Model Y lease offer.

Pros: $1,000 less per month

Cons: Everything else sucks after driving a Cybertruck daily.

I thought about taking advantage of a strong end-of-year lease offer.

Tesla offered me $66,000 for my Cybertruck, but I stepped out to sit in the truck to charge my phone and think it over for a second.

It only took about 10 seconds to realize it would be a silly mistake.”

Finally, Jason concludes his post writing…

“So instead, I just paid down my Cybertruck another $20,000 and called it a night.

Happy New Year!”

Jason definitely seems committed to his Cybertruck, and looking at the comments, fellow Cybertruck owners say they are unwilling to drive any other vehicle, even a Tesla.

A fellow Cybertruck owner, Brett Buehler, writes…

“I had the same thought process. I was going to trade in my Cybertruck and get another Cybertruck lease, but I was like, forget it, I’ll just keep it and pay it off.”

I love it so much!”

A second Cybertruck owner, Mallory Sutton, writes…

“If you were trading your Cybertruck for a Tesla Model X, maybe; however, the Tesla Model Y is such a downgrade in drive and ride quality, and overall comfort.”

A third Cybertruck owner, Caleb Oldhouser, writes…

“Yeah. They gave me a Tesla Model X as a loaner while they put tires on my Cybertruck.

It would be tough to switch at this point. The Cybertruck is the top dog.”

A fourth Cybertruck owner, Jack Vasilievich

“We have both a Cybertruck and a Tesla Model Y, but I prefer the Cybertruck.”

A fifth Cybertruck owner, Yevgeniy Frid, writes…

“Yeah, no way, man.”

A sixth Cybertruck owner, Jeff Ario, writes…

“Something must be wrong with your Cybertruck if you’re even thinking about trading it in.”

A seventh Cybertruck owner, Shara Ervin, writes…

“Great decision to keep the Cybertruck.”

Overall, Cybertruck owners seem unanimous in their view that the all-electric truck is a much better vehicle than the Tesla Model Y.
