GOSHEN, Calif. (FOX26) — A 17 year old boy was arrested Wednesday morning after deputies say he stole an e-bike at gunpoint, and fired a shot while confronting the victims in Goshen.

According to the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded right before 11 a.m. on the report of an armed robbery near Avenue 308 and Road 50.

Investigators say the victim and a friend tracked down an e-bike that had been stolen earlier in Goshen, and tried to recover it. During that encounter, the same suspect allegedly displayed a gun, and fired one round, causing both victims to leave the area.

Deputies said no one was injured.

The suspect was later located and taken into custody. He was arrested on suspicion of armed robbery.
