Great News on Electric Cars. Bad News for Green farmers. 15th Dec 25.
the 15th of December, 2025. You’re welcome back. Beautiful day here, but a short day in rural Ireland. Uh, now, good news. Good news. The EU is on its way to lifting the ban on petrol and diesel cars. You know that they originally banned them in a big fit of righteousness and virtue signaling from 2030 and then they moved that back to 2035 and now they’ve moved them to 2040. Maria it’s not announced yet so the full details aren’t announced. There was intense lobbying from the automobile industry in where is actually the home of quality cars. It has to be said h they’re hinging with the greens and they say it’ll hand the whole electric market over to China. I think one of the effects of it is that China won’t be able to sell the electric cars in Europe. They’re a heap of junk. Moreover, if you had an electric car that now we say before this change took place, uh you could trade it in maybe and someone would have to buy it because they had a rule in the UK and it’s still there. They’re not in the EU and the rule in the EU in the UK is 20 22% of the market each year accumulation has to be um electric. In other words, the first year is 22, the second year 44, and the third year 66% of a tariff has to be paid. That is absolutely ridiculous. Well, maybe the EU is stuck with it. If they’re in or the UK is stuck with it, if they’re in the EU, they’d benefit from this. So, we’ll see how it goes. But of course, maybe it’s a good thing because we need the United Kingdom voter, the Labour voter to be forced into freezing and dying off the cold and living lying in the house with a big blanket around them and no heat starvation. That’s the only thing that’ll fix the labor socialist voter in the United Kingdom. So anyway, but it’s good news now. So that means that uh if you have electric car, well, what are you going to do? uh you it’ll it’s gone down in value straight away. Uh they’re all a big buzz as me father used to say. I wouldn’t mind people buying one for a start but see will they buy the second hand the second time. They’re not buying them mostly. There’s an odd one but not too many and it’s nearly agreed now that they’re a load of junk. Maybe you have a sevenyear lifesty lifespan and that’s it. I can tell you the Nissan the Nissan Leaf has a guarantee but there has to be four cells in the battery. I think that’s it. defective. So, if you lose a wee bit of a cell or a half a cell, you won’t get the grant. That doesn’t apply. And I know that many of the taxi firms are getting rid of them. One taxi firm that had had three of them has down to one. And it’s just only a novelty. They’ll run it there till it falls as how they’re going to get rid of all that lithium in the battery. I don’t know. So, that’s good news. the the EU mad mad idiots from Germany, Nazis h with their electric cars, they’re beaten on this again. They’d have to do it. Well, they’re afraid that the ADF, the alternative for Germany, will beat them in the election. I don’t know how that’ll go. So, it’s great news. And I wonder, could we give a wee bit of a credit to a certain Mr. Vladimir Putin? He’s me marching around. and see how they’ll do with their electrically powered uh tanks in NATO. We we’ll see how that goes. Now, the other thing is I see their SSE electricity and many of the wind farm companies in Ireland are giving out huge grants to community funds to buy off resistance to the wind farms. You just imagine they say that in Caven and Monahan alone they’re giving €100,000 for community-based projects. So that’s €100,000 of the bills. Is it any wonder we have the highest electricity prices in the world? When you plug in your your television set or your haird dryer, you are paying the community fund of schools and places all around that should have nothing to do with you. So they load this on the bill and you think that’s good. Oh, we give a community fund. It doesn’t come from nowhere, folks. It comes off your bill. Please understand that. So you have no uh wind energy today. It’s about 12:00 or 1:00 on the 15th of November. It’s minimal. There’s there’s a little solar, very little and yet the millions and millions has gone out to community funds and this is the way to go. Now I was looking up folios there and I do do a bit of that for people and one of the things about folios anyone that has wind infrastructure or roads on the land will get paid a certain amount. It’s subject to tax and the land is subject to a higher rate of commercial tax on inheritance. Now the thing about it is you’re blocked. It’s on the folio. You’re blocked. There’s a dealing number on the folio that you cannot sell or do and with the land without consulting the wind company. So you’re only really a tenant on the land as long as they’re there. So that is a big devaluation. you don’t get freehold, you get a freehold with a burden on it. The same as a mortgage or anything else. So that’s the stuff for them. Hopefully that’ll uh come back to hurt the farmers that do or get involved in this decrepit business. Now the other thing is the solar farms and I have this on good authority. The solar farms are now given inducements as well. They’re given community stuff. They’re given this that and the other. and you get some kind of a cause but one of the things is there are conditions and the conditions are difficult to meet and if they want to and they are refusing to pay in other words they’ll tell you after two years we’ll give you so much money for that fund and I would say that could be the case with SSSE as well I’m not sure but one of the tricks is to say right we’re going to give you a great grant there for a a a school we’ll say volleyball place, but you have to be you have to get planet mission. You have to use this that and the other. You have to use approved things. They put in all kinds of conditions. There has to be drainage. You have to provide a PSRI number. You have to show your tax compliant. You have to show about 60 different things. And when the people go and try to do this, most people will try and do it cheap. They think they’re getting paid, but when they put in their bill, they say, “Where is your this? Where is your that? where is your other where’s this where’s that and they’ll stick it to the letter to the letter of the law really really well so you need to read the fine print but the other thing they’re using another thing which happens with some people I have helped people who had no money who were being attacked by neighbor neighbors taking their land taken parts of their property taking their sheds taking things and when when they’d come to me for help I try and help them but one of the reasons they were being attacked was they had no money. They had no money. You go into a court case now, you’d want you’d want to be coming up with 20,000 to get get a legal team. So they know all this. So the poor old Gin say I’m going to go for this, I’m going to go for that. And the next thing he goes to do it and he finds all these obstacles and he throws it there. And if he wants to sue, he has to put up 20,000 and a lot of effort. So they end up not drawing it at all. Once the company gets the thing built, they don’t care about you. They’ll do everything possible to stop you getting that money. Okay. Now, SSE, I’m available for discussion. We’ll carry out a full investigation. Yeah, you’re not dealing with a cod here. I’ll tell you, uh there’s a farm grants now for doing up roads and that was looking at us there. And you have to spend a lot on certified folios. There’s a lot of stuff like that. Everything has to be certified. And if you know you can buy a folio for €5, but if you buy a certified one, it’s €40. And if you have two plots of land on the same place, it’s 80. It’s all adding up. So these are things the ordinary person don’t know about. But the renewable energy company and their compliant fina fall and shinfane and people before puberty uh uh politicians have all sused out uh have all sused out. Okay. So you understand now? Now what I’m saying? Um, just watch that. These all these gifts are not what they appear to be. But the big news is anyway, the EU is under pressure. They’re they’re backing down on the on the electric cars. That’s a big thing. And of course, the German German economy is finished. I don’t think it’ll ever improve. They’re trying to find ways to improve it. Uh, the Chinese have stolen their thunder. If they go back to proper manufacturer of good quality petrol and diesel cars and cut out all these microchips out of them, they should sell. They’ll beat the Chinese. But they won’t they they won’t do that. They they won’t beat the Chinese. So, uh they won’t do what need is needed to be done to beat the Chinese. The whole renewable thing is dead in in America. Trump just threw the whole lot out the window. And um it just shows you the whole thing was a charade or a a fake business and then you see Putin comes along and they have to fight him and with the windmills. So it’s it’s good crack. It’s sad that so much waste has gone into this. I hear that Fina Fall has some way appointed. Someone was telling me Brendan Smith TD he’s the expert now on on electricity.
