Budget E-Bike Upgrade for $37
So, there’s like your charge port right there. Leave it plugged in, you know, overnight or what have you. Shut it to keep the dust and debris out. When you slide it on, you look underneath, there’s a slot that builds into it, and it locks in very nicely. So, the Trek logo should be reading back towards you on the bicycle, and it’ll just slide right in there. Boom. Nice little click. And then, if it’s Is it on? Not yet. Oh, yes it is on. And so there are three buttons right on the front. I’ll go over those more in detail, but basically the middle one, the play button, that’s your toggle it on, toggle it off. So there’s off. Nothing. You hold it for a long two seconds. Boom. It’s on. And now my cat’s least favorite noise. What do you think, monkey? Uh he can he can live with it, but he’d prefer
Charging your Trek BellBeats is super easy! Just pop open the rubber cover on the side, plug in the included USB-C cable, and you’re set. It takes about 4 hours for a full charge, and you’ll get a solid 6 hours of continuous music playback out of it. The built-in 4-bar LED battery gauge makes it easy to check your charge level at a glance – 4 green bars means you’re fully charged and ready to roll!
The mount installation is just as simple. The BellBeats comes with a quick-release handlebar mount that fits bars from 25mm to 31.8mm, plus shims (2 large, 2 small) so you get a perfect fit on any bike. Just clamp it on, twist to tighten, and the ergonomic trigger sits right where your thumb naturally rests. The two-piece design means you can pop the speaker off in seconds to take it inside or use it around the house.
Pro tip: Trek recommends charging at room temperature in a dry place for best results, and always make sure that USB port cover is latched before riding in wet conditions – this thing is IP67 water-resistant but you’ve got to keep that port protected!
