Vinfast VF7 – New Segment Killer!

So today we have with us the brand new SUV of Vinfast, the VF7, which has just been launched in India. Let’s start straight with the key. It looks quite unique, doesn’t it? White, black, it looks nice. So here’s the logo of Vinfast. Lock, unlock, boot open. And here’s a button for the security alarm, separately. So when you look at this car, I’ll unlock the car so that all the lights turn on. It looks nice, right? The overall design is not like any other car and that’s where it clearly stands out. And this daytime running LED, this comes down to form a V, which is the logo of the company. Underneath, there’s also a daytime running LED, which turns up as an indicator also. And here’s the LED headlamp. So in total, there are 4 front sensors, 1, 2 and 2 on the other side. It has an ADAS at the bottom. And of course, you also get a camera over here. There’s no cost cut, you get these high quality wipers, which are called as frameless. The side profile looks quite sporty because at the end of the day, what you need is also performance, right? So when you look at everything here, there are 19-inch alloy wheels, which is the best in the category. If you look down, there’s a good amount of ground clearance as well. You of course get a camera here because it’s a 360-degree camera. And because this car is sporty, it has flush door handles for better aerodynamics. And again, for the sportiness, the roof rails are stuck on the body rather than being that large, bunchy, chunky ones. And on top, you get a panoramic roof till here, which is huge, quite huge. Of course, you also get a shark fin antenna. The rear styling also has LED tail lamps, which form that V part again. There’s a camera down here. And what I really like in the car is that they’ve given a good combination of white and black. And at some places, they’ve given this brushed aluminium look, which looks very premium. This design element clearly stands out. The wiper isn’t given here, it’s hidden here. And the tailgate is electrically opening. There’s a lot of boot space. So if a family of 4-5 people is travelling, they have more than sufficient space to keep their stuff quite comfortable. The VINFAST VF-7 is clearly a premium product in this category. And the features and technology it offers are generally found in luxury cars. And you know what’s the best part about this vehicle? For 3 years, there’ll be absolutely no maintenance cost. And in fact, if you want to charge the car, you can do it for free at the company dealership. And by the way, you get a 10-year warranty on this car. And VINFAST currently has VF-7 and VF-6. There’s also another SUV. And by the way, there’s also an ADAS feature in the mirror for blind spot detection. The performance of VF-7 is clearly unmatched. Because it does 0-100 in 5.8 seconds. And it also has all-wheel drive. And by the way, it has a 70kWh battery. Which gives you a range of up to 500km. Isn’t that fantastic? And by the way, if you charge it fast, it reaches up to 70% in 28 minutes. And if you look at it at 100%, it should be done in 50-55 minutes. If you look at the interior of VF7, it looks very premium in brown and black. So if you see things, there are majorly soft-touch elements here. And the fit finish of this car is also very good. The quality of the steering wheel also feels very good. And it is quite sporty. So turning will be quite easy because of its smaller size. There are audio controls on the left side. There are ADAS controls on the right side. And if you see here, there are sensors here also. And it also has a red light blink at some points. And even here, you have a sort of camera. If you are drowsy, it will detect that for you. To keep the interior quite minimalistic, there is no cluster on the dashboard. But what you get is actually a heads-up display. And this heads-up display is colored. So technically, you do not miss that. And you can read this quite easily. And this minimalistic design continues here also in the center. Because there is no button anywhere here. What you get is actually window lock, volume control, hazard lamps, 2-3 cupholders, 2 USB points, a fast wireless charging pad here. And in fact, there is no start-stop button anywhere. You just have to do one thing. Press the brake and your car will start. If the gear shifts are fast, there are buttons here. And this star button is actually customizable. After seeing the touchscreen for the first time, the angle will look a bit off. But when you see it from the driver’s angle, it is just perfect to see. Now I feel, should every car have a touchscreen like this with this angle? Let me know in comments. And by the way, this section is completely dedicated to the driver. So you have to open the boot, adjust the mirror, turn the headlight on or off, or even go to sport mode, pet mode, everything is here. But the basic controls of the car are given here. So the indicator comes right over here with your headlamp also. And this way comes your wiper controls as well. The quality of the touchscreen is quite good. And overall, its response is pretty good. Its brightness is what I actually like. And overall, whatever things are required, they are quite accessible. Wireless, CarPlay and Android Auto are provided here in this car. And along with that, what you also get is an easy-to-use system. Its UI is very simple. It’s not complicated at all. And in fact, let me show you the quality of the reverse camera as well. It seems pretty neat. And it’s quite wide, which makes it easy to park as well. And if you press this, it goes extremely wide, which makes it very easy to park too. If the car is getting charged and you’re getting bored, you can actually play some fun games too. If you look at the front, the overall headroom is quite good, even for tall passengers like me. And if you look at the seat here, its quality feels quite good. It’s given a twin colour. And the leatherette material is good and premium. Of course, ventilated seats are provided. The quality of the side bolstering is also quite good. It is not very soft or very firm. It is just ideal for daily and long runs as well. Leatherette materials have been used on the armrest as well. And it’s quite deep as well. If you look at the door, the soft touch elements have been given majorly, even on the armrest part of the door. And there are brushed aluminium elements in the interior, which looks very nice and premium. If you look at the second row of the VF7, do you see the space here? Look at this. There is a lot of knee room here. Two or three people can comfortably sit here because the car is quite wide. And the overall space that this car offers is fantastic at the back. Meaning, if you’re going to be chauffeur-driven, you can comfortably sit here. And there are not just one or two, but three adjustable headrests at the back. Plus, what you also get here is an armrest too, which has cup holders inside. See how premium this feels. See this. This is pretty cool, right? According to me, this is one of the best back seats that any SUV is offering in India today in this entire category. I feel like I’m sitting in a small limousine here. And for the passengers sitting at the back, there are rear AC vents. And there are three charging ports here. One type C and two USB ports. And there is also a place to keep your phone here. And your big-size phone can also fit here quite comfortably. Its floor is almost flat, which means the person sitting in the middle won’t feel uncomfortable. There are no overall safety features. Multiple airbags, ABS plus EBD, traction control, and the build quality of the car feels pretty solid. Let me give you one example. So indeed, its bonnet is quite heavy.
